Move 2: Think of a statement that highlights important information you can glean from the data (an overview)

Overviews are statements that show your ability to spot trends or regularities in the data displayed or statements that show your ability to distinguish between more important findings from less important ones. Overviews show your ability to make claims about the findings.

Good overview statement do not simply repeat all the details of the data in words. You need not mention all the information given in the graph/table/chart. Also, restrict your claims only to findings given in the data.

The following phrases could be used to introduce your overview:
